ABOUT SNPF

Scotland's premier nature photography event will return on 9-10 September 2017, with an exciting and varied programme.

Held at Scottish Natural Heritage’s prestigious Battleby Centre just outside of Perth, the Scottish Nature Photography Festival features inspiring speakers, amazing imagery, informative workshops and trade stands, as well as the chance to mingle with like-minded photography enthusiasts. Regular visitors will be familiar with the state-of-the-art projection and sound, easy access, free parking and excellent catering, which makes Battleby the perfect venue to enjoy the images and commentary from some of the best photographers at work today.  The weekend features presentations by 10 top photographers, offering a different programme on each day.

Below are some frequently asked questions to help you to make the most of your weekend:

WHAT FOOD/DRINK IS AVAILABLE?

Tea and coffee refreshments will be served throughout the event for everyone to enjoy. A hot lunch (including a meat & vegetarian option plus tea/coffee, cake & fruit) is also available, however please note this must be pre-booked in advance. You are of course welcome to bring your own lunch which, weather permitting, can be enjoyed in the grounds. Please note that Battleby is situated in a rural location and there are no other catering facilities on site. The nearest shop is in Luncarty, approx 1.5 miles away.  

CAN I BUY SPEAKER BOOKS AT THE EVENT?

A selection of speaker books will be available for sale throughout the weekend and speakers will be on hand to sign books during afternoon breaks. Please ensure you bring cash with you for any books you wish to purchase as we are unable to accept credit cards.

WHERE CAN I STAY LOCALLY?

Battleby is located approximately 4 miles from Perth, which offers a wide range of accommodation options to suit every taste and budget. Accommodation is also available in nearby Luncarty at the Ordie View B&B

WHO IS BEHIND SNPF?

SNPF is coordinated by The Wild Media Foundation as part of its commitment to promoting visual imagery as a vital tool in nurturing a wide appreciation of the natural world. The Wild Media Foundation is a Social Enterprise which means there is no shareholding and all profits are reinvested in the company.
